Five Thousand Seven Hundred Eighteen's Dawn, Fifth of Second Seed.
We located Isonidar about one week ago, on the Twenty Ninth of Sun's End. It is a small island off the coast of Ionis. The best description I can give is of an enormous stone tree stump that has sprouted from the sea. No plants grow here and no animals live here. A small beach on the southern coast hosts the entrance to the Labyrinth, carved directly into the cliff face. No other viable spots to land exist. Climbing to the top of the 'stump' seems plausible, and Ridge Contingency is assessing and attempting the climb. The stone is black and very durable. No signs of water or wind erosion can be found, and immense effort is required to chip or damage the cliff faces.
Introductory explorations into the Labyrinth, which the Ethalin have named Minos, have begun. The entrance is made of two doors, each with a symbol carved into the face. They are large, about twelve feet in height and five feet in width. They are balanced to open and close extremely smoothly. The temperature on the inside of Minos seems to stays cool regardless of outside temperature, although further data is required to confirm. The walls are made of the same material as the cliff faces, but smoother and clearly stoneworked. There are no lights inside, but the darkness is ordinary and nonmagical. Cantrips for light provide adequate vision.
Unusual behavior has been noted that suggests an intelligence within Minos. Equipment or items left outside the light are removed in an instant, with no sign of a creature doing it. We have left equipment in a corridor between two teams, walked until the equipment was no longer illuminated, and then returned to find the equipment gone. No one on either team witnessed something passing, and there were no other routes that a being could have taken. No creatures at all have been seen or heard. Additionally, Minos cleans itself. Any marks, painting, damage, or any other attempt to mark the walls, ceiling, or floor is removed in the same fashion that abandoned equipment is.
Fortunately, the layout of Minos remains consistent. Consistent, but still very confusing. "Labyrinth" is a very apt description. Paths diverge, merge, twist on themselves, dead end, and generally become very difficult to follow. The corridors generally remain ten feet in width and about ten feet in height. Rooms within Minos vary in size. Maps are in the beginning stages of being drawn.
No sign of Asterius. We anticipate contact as we delve further into Minos. Shallorin Protocol is being observed.
